  • Don't upset the rhythm

    Holla from Perth!

It's been  very busy yet slack past weeks. In short:

    • Birthday celebration was as follows:
Stayed at uni on the eve till 1am just to study Electrical Systems. On the day itself, had ES exam. After the exam, had dinner at home and headed back to uni to study for Mechanics till 1am the following day. Fun much?

Mechanics part, Statics. My birthday gift

Happy note: Awesome strawberry cheesecake from Baskin Robbins. Love yo sister <3
Anddddd prawn dish by brother Nick. yums :)
    • B's birthday @ Sorrento, Mustang Bar & Library.
Lucky girl, had much better celebration than I did though it kinda sucked that Shane got speeding ticket on his way to my place. Had Italians at Sorrento's where we were amused by this hong ki guy who took our orders. The joke of the night:

The guy: Hou mong dou tek sai kiok ( In short translation means: It's too busy)
Liwei: Why did the say that he kick his legs all over?? ( The direct translation)

( Brenda with the guys. Clockwise from left: Me, Henry, B, Shane and Pete)

Then headed over to Library only to find that its quiet and pretty dead. Went over to Mustang bar, which seriously surpassed my expectations. Expected it to be a hangout place for bogans. Pretty good live bands though. Nice chillout place

                                                                                       At Mustang.

The birthday dinner date didn't go exactly as planned but it was time well spent together. <3

A: Your parents were at ____'s wedding in the Indian temple and I was complaining to them that its been ages since you're back and asked them to let you come back then your dad told me you're coming back in January.
But it seems that he thought you thought he doesnt know and so he's gonna leave it that way. Still retaining the "surprise".

B: I know eyy.. I must be some psychic.. *introduced me to the new staff etc etc..*
B: So are you coming to the graduation night?
K: Of course, dropped by to let you know personally. Are all the student councillors invited?

  • This is an uber late post from the Winter break trip @ Melbourne & Tasmania.
With no specific orders of photos.

Mum flew in during the day time from KL and flew off the Melbourne with me at night. Reached pretty late, stayed at Aunt Suzy and Uncle Victor's place @ Wheelers Hill.

Stayed for about 5 days and then we flew off to Hobart. (Was meant to meet up with Jade jie but didn't know she was in Launceston instead of Hobart. Found this out after purchased the tickets. With that, mum and son trip up north to Launceston plan went on.)

Mum with no experience driving overseas + me, with no license = disaster combination.
Mum was so worried before the trip, eager to book accomodation, transportation and such. I came out the with brilliant plan of trying for the first time, to go on without any pre-bookings for anything at all. ( I assumed its winter and its freaking cold in Tassie, that its people will actually flee from this state to else where warmer). I was wrong. Very wrong.

    Results: amazing.
When we reached, there weren't any cars left, considering there were 4 car rental companies, its VERY bad. End up, we booked a Toyota Tarago. IMAGINE THAT 8SEATER just for mum and I.
I was laughing throughout the way while mum looked at me puzzled
    I swear, I didn't laugh long.
It's never a good idea to get such a hugeass car when mum's scared of driving overseas. I was literally pressing the break at the passenger's seat. Heart skipped many beats.

When sunset, it was FREEEZINGGG. 0.3 degrees. Could see the snow up at Mt. Wellington (which was about 30mins drive from the hotel we stayed).

When we reached the hotel, the manager told us that its fully booked and so are the other hotels nearby. wah piangg my mum stared at me, mumbling how much she regrets for not pre-booking.

After about 15 minutes, the manager managed to get us a room, beside the suite room.

Pretty awesome place to stay, Prince of Wales @Hobart. 2 beds plus breakfast for 2. Only 70AUD. bargain? :)

We managed to find our way to the city to return the car and get another smaller car, Hyundai Elantra. Mum grinned the whole day.

Was supposed to leave for Launceston, but mum decided to take some rest and we explored around. Found maccas which is about 1km away. Walked there a few times just to go the internet. This is where I found out my results for Sem1 :)

Next day we drove up north. For the first time, I did not sleep in long haul drive. Left leg felt so tired during the pit stops, stepping on "imaginary break" throughout the journey.

Tassie's uber beautiful place. Shall let the photos do the talking. Will upload more soon. :)

       War Memorial @ Hobart, Tasmania

    View from the Hobart port.

During the road trip up north from Hobart to Launceston.

    On the way to Bicheno.

looks like the sand sculpture things in Egypt, no? :) @Bicheno.

Speechless as we reached this small town Bicheno, only to find out that there's no phone receptions for any other services but Telstra. + when were there, all shops were closed. Nearly slept in backpackers cause couldn't find a place to stay. End up, thanks to mum's newly met friends at the blow-hole, we managed to find this comfy inn to stay in. Wintersun Inn. Awesomely homely. :)

    Blow-hole @Bicheno.

    Seagulls @ blow-hole.

Oldest bridge in Australia. Richmond Bridge I think.

    Musketeers @ the bridge.

    Wallaby!

Dessert pancake @Mt. Elephant. on the way up to Launceston.

    Mua Irish Coffee.

    Fascinating menu.

Notice at the Entrance. Notice the bottom line
